INSEAD Continues its Global Campaign in Dubai

Largest INSEAD event in the Middle East to advance the school’s vision of Business as Force for Good

INSEAD, the business school for the world, is continuing to advance its vision on business as a force for good by holding the Global Business Leaders Conference (GBLC), INSEAD’s flagship event in the Middle East, as well as the Middle East launch of The Campaign for INSEAD, on the 24 February 2019 at the iconic Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai.

The GBLC and the Campaign for INSEAD will assemble faculty, industry and government leaders and alumni from around the region for  discussions around the theme of ‘A Force for Good’, advancing key dialogue on how to align the goals of business and society in the world’s current phase of transformation and integration.

Ilian Mihov, INSEAD Dean and Professor of Economics, states that, “We are thankful of the strong support towards the school’s largest capital campaign since its public phase launch, which we have achieved more than 60 percent of its target of €250 million. We invite your continued support towards the Campaign. Every contribution supports INSEAD’s work to develop the next generation of global business leaders, managers and entrepreneurs who will tackle world-scale problems and harness business as a force for good.”

At INSEAD’s recent forums and campaign launches in Europe and Asia, prominent global business leaders and academics have brought actionable solutions on how business can be a powerful force for good; and how business, governments, and media from around the world can inculcate more trust in societies to deliver an equitable and sustainable growth.

The GBLC will focus on digital transformation and how it unleashes exciting new possibilities, touching almost every aspect of modern day business and society as it holds an incredible ability to enable positive social, environmental and financial outcomes.

At the session “Business and Government Collaboration in an Age of Disruption”, Peter Zemsky, Deputy Dean and Dean of Innovation at INSEAD, and HE Omar Sultan Al Olama, the Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence of the UAE, will share their insights on how government leaders can invest and equip their people and businesses to achieve their full potential; and how business leaders can respond to the shifting roles of government, business and the public.

A “Blue Ocean Shift:  Creating a Future of Growth and Hope for Businesses and Society” faculty session led by INSEAD Professor Renée Mauborgne, co-author of the New York Times and #1 Wall Street Journal bestseller Blue Ocean Shift, and the global bestseller Blue Ocean Strategy,  will explore a world beyond zero-sum competition and a world where businesses act as a force for good, creating new frontiers of growth, jobs and hope and a larger economic pie for all.

Paul Kewene-Hite, Affiliate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Family Enterprise INSEAD, will moderate a panel on “Tech for good: Entrepreneurship and Innovation” to find out how technology is moulding the increasingly complex business and governance landscape, and how leaders can and must navigate Digital Age. Panelists include Leila Hoteit, Partner & Managing Director of The Boston Consulting Group;  Karl Magnus Olsson, Founder and Managing Director of Careem; R. Todd Ruppert,  Founder and CE of Ruppert International and INSEAD Board member; and Chirag Shah, Chairman of Simfoni.

A CEO Dialogue between Peter Zemsky and William Doucas, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer will highlight the most pressing issues and trends taking centre-stage for global leaders today.

The GBLC will end with the Deans' Address on INSEAD as Force for Good.
